Eclipse Casting Complete

Acting411 has now posted that casting for Eclipse is complete, and in fact rehearsals started weeks ago. I was wondering about that when August 1 rolled around. They are slated to begin filming in 2 days. Sorry, all you Bree hopefuls out there. Canadian hopefuls, at least, have a shot at being extras. Being in Vancouver would be a plus I would imagine. Breaking Dawn Auditions

Have you been following Acting411? If you have you know some pretty interesting info by now.

Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights from Stephenie Meyer to film and distribute Breaking Dawn, the fourth novel in her series. Breaking Dawn is in the early pre-production stages. There will likely be quite a bit of tweaking to the novel due to the explicit sex and birth scenes to avoid an R rating.

Somebody didn’t catch that the explicit part was all in their heads! LOL!

The Latest on Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Casting

There have been updates. I am reminding you to check my Auditions page. Many of you are finding much older posts, begging for info, and missing the Auditions page completely. I’ve made some arrows pointing at it. I hope that helps.

It seems that in my absence the Main Principal Actor Casting Director was posted and taken down because people were looking up phone numbers and calling the office when they were told NO PHONE CALLS. I’ll post whatever info I find here, but it will only be up as long as I’m allowed to have it up. Please follow the rules Acting411 sets. As I said on my Auditions page, it would be a shame if some really great talent didn’t get a chance to audition because they couldn’t find the info. We want the best movie possible. Please follow the rules.

Auditions Page

I’ve started an Auditions page in hopes that when people search for info on how to audition for the movies based on Stephenie Meyer’s Eclipse and Breaking Dawn they easily find what they are looking for. Ever since I first posted the links to Acting411 my searches have looked something like this every day.

Eclipse & Breaking Dawn Auditions: Final Post?

Maybe this will be my final post on Twilight Saga auditions. We shall see. I continue to get questions on how to go about auditioning. I would like to reiterate that I have nothing to do with the film industry other than being an avid movie fan, and have nothing to do with Twilight casting other than being a humble blogger of all things Twilight. As of this moment I have no ‘in’ with Stephenie Meyer, Summit Entertainment, Chris Weitz, David Slade, gaffers, best boys, kraft food service, or anyone else in the know. It would be nice to have some connection in the future though.

That being said, I’ve had so many questions that I have done some research. Allow me to impart upon you my wisdom.

According to this press release Acting 411 is the place to go for casting and audition info. So, remember, it’s very important to keep checking those links above. Bookmark this page if you need to, to remember. Certainly you may link to this page directly on your blog.

If you look at other movies listed on Acting 411, you will see that some, such as Remember Me (starring Robert Pattinson) have a PRINCIPLE ACTOR CASTING area and a EXTRAS CASTING area. These are the areas you want to keep watching if you are interested in auditioning for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Today both areas say TBA for both movies. Before too long they will be filled in and you will know what to do.

BTW, careful readers noticed they are still casting the female lead for Remember Me. Go get him, girls! Don’t forget who sent you on the audition!

Eclipse Casting Coming Up

If it’s one thing I get a lot of on this blog it’s searches for casting information. I get so many every day, that I feel somewhat responsible for y’all’s well-being in this regard.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Auditions

April 29, 2009

*** Update Regarding Director for Eclipse ***

David Slade had been officially hired to direct The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. He is represented by William Morris Agency, and his manager is Keith Redmon of Anonymous Content. Mr. Slade will be hiring a casting director of his choosing shortly, and auditions information will be posted as soon as it becomes available, as well as filming locations.

Eclipse will not be filmed back-to-back with New Moon, there will be two months between filming. New Moon is scheduled to wrap filming in May and Eclipse is scheduled to begin filming in August. There will also be a separate casting cycle for new Eclipse roles. The release date for Eclipse has been announced as Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

Do keep checking that link. I’m guessing a lot of you who are searching this way are new to the industry. I’d advise you to get agents. If you continue to go it alone be careful out there. Eclipse Auditions

Here’s some info for all the hopefuls who happen across my site looking for an ‘in’. I’m sorry that I don’t have any clout other than being a fan with a malnourished blog.  I hope this helps you. If you get the part remember me and send me some exclusive pics, will ya? 

I can’t seem to cut and paste the info here, but here’s a run down (as of today):

• The director for Eclipse hasn’t been decided on yet.
• Auditions will be announced on the website above, so follow that link!
• New Moon and Eclipse will not be filmed back-to-back; there will be a 2 month break.
• There will be a “seperate casting cycle for any new Eclipse roles”.
• “The release date for Eclipse has been announced as Wednesday, June 30, 2010.”

Yes, a mere seven months after New Moon comes out, we’ll have Eclipse. Yes, that seems a bit rushed to me too. Maybe that’s what KStew and NReed mean by New Moon being “a machine.”

Eclipse Auditions and Breaking Dawn

Here’s some info on Eclipse auditions.

According to this site, Breaking Dawn will begin production early in 2010. Yea!

The production company has acquired the rights (optioned property) from Stephenie Meyer to film and distribute Breaking Dawn, the fourth novel in her series. However Breaking Dawn will not begin production until sometime in early 2010.
