Twilight Helps Kids Learn

Ok, so anything that gets kids’ interest can help them learn something, but this post is about Twilight. I had a lovely conversation with my niece ‘Peanut’ today. We talked mostly about Twilight because we’re both crazy obsessed. She’s 13, so it’s OK, but me you clearly have to worry about. LOL!

Anyway, she was telling me how she’s the most obsessed at school, but she does have this one friend who is pretty into it. They were lab partners during the same lab that Edward and Bella first did together. They remembered the scene from the book/movie and were actually excited about doing this lab in school. They aced it. In another class they learned about Spanish Influenza. You can imagine they were pretty interested in that, too. The point is that Twilight made a connection to something in real life that might never have interested these two girls, and they took notice. Not only did they take notice but they got better grades than they might have normally. Twilight Moms take notice!

  1. 😆 yeah because Edward and Bella were doing the mitosis thing and then Edward died when he was a human because of the Spanish Influenza. So true 🙂 . I have the movie and have read all of the books so I am reminded of all of it everyday!
