A FANGirl's Forkstress of Solitude

Where’s Rabbit?

Thanks for continuing to come back even though I’m not posting a whole lot. I haven’t lost interest. I’ve lost time. That is, I’ve started a new job, and have a whole lot less free time. Once I’m out of training, and my schedule  and I both settled down, I’ll be online more. Then I’ll be ready to catch up on all things Twilight.

Thanks to Grand Junction, CO for visiting my site and reminding me of War Games. I always think of War Games when I hear or read the name Grand Junction. It was the first time I ever heard of it.

So, until next time, I’ll be re-reading The Host so I can blog about it when I’m back online, per Artistic Philosopher’s request. It’s Stephenie Meyer. I figure it’s close enough to Twilight. As Jeb would say, my blog, my rules.

United States Arrived 19 Minutes Ago

My Traffic Feed says that United States arrived 19min ago. I’ve seen this before. I’ve confirmed this is not my IP. I’m curious why it doesn’t show a city or state? Are you surfing my blog from the space shuttle? Ooh! Are you the President?!? Hello, Mr. President! I heard you were a Twilight fan. What an honor it is to have you on my blog! Six months to go until New Moon; are you excited?

New Moon Poster

spunkransomreveals

Reasons I hesitate to believe:

  • Has anyone else seen that picture of Robward before? It looks familiar to me.
  • It looks like a lot of the wonderful fanmades we’ve seen in recent months with the coloring and mistiness.

Reasons I want to believe:

  • Summit might have actually listened to the fans and taken a page out of the fanmade book. It gives me hope.
  • Instead of a crescent moon in the background, it looks like an eclipse. That’s something I haven’t seen in fanmades.
  • While the pose is weird, I like that Jacob is getting between Bella and Edward.
  • Edward is eclipsing Jacob, much like the moon is eclipsing the sun above them.

Captain’s…er…log 2: The Wrath of Canned Frosting

Dear Captain Cupcake,

While it seems I may be the first to refer to you as such (online anyway), it seems that this name has been given to others previously. Who could forget Hostess’s Captain Cupcake? Me obviously.

UrbanDictionary, of whom I’m normally a great fan, has this to say on the subject of ‘Captain Cupcake’:

One who is the master of being stepped on, used, and abused by others. This individual is so passive in behavioral manners that they both tolerate and welcome such actions taken by others.
1. That dude is such a captain cupcake, his daughter is always milking him for cash and people are using him for free labor.
Well, that is not Captain Kirk at all (except maybe if there are Romulans involved). Please know that I in no way, shape, or form meant to disparage you. Quite the contrary. My attempt to objectify you was meant in the nicest way possible. Captain Cupcake simply refers to the running “Cupcake” gag in Star Trek. Well, that and your aforementioned yumminess.
So, ‘Captain Cupcake’…we’re taking it back! I just wanted to clear that up before Twinkie the Kid hauled me off to the hooscow.
Did I mention that Robert Pattinson still hasn’t called…schedule free…and all that?
Call Me,

Captain’s…er…log

Dear Captain Cupcake (AKA Chris Pine),

Ever since I saw you in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement I knew you were something special. Just My Luck only confirmed your yumminess. I am happy to report that Bottle Shock was already in the NetFlix queue when I saw you in Star Trek (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday opening weekend). What a plus it turned out to be that you were in that movie. Star Trek, though, wow! You were great. Just enough Old Kirk, but not so much as to be parody. You made Kirk your own. Well done! Just, please, don’t put out any spoken word albums, ok?

Feel free to call anytime. Robert Pattinson hasn’t called yet, so my schedule is pretty clear.

FMCG: Chapter 11

I don’t know how much of Chapter 11: Complications I’m going to be able to talk about.  Things are still frustrating and unexplained in Benjamin Wheeler’s Twi-verse. For lack of a more tactful way of saying this, it seems to me that he’s miserable reading this book, but somehow can’t put it down. He seems hell bent on his analysis, and is beating his head against the “this isn’t love” wall. I don’t understand the love of every couple I meet. It’s different for everyone. I think this might be one of those moments for Benjamin that he might benefit from saying, “I’m happy if you’re happy,” to his new friends Bella and Edward, so he can move on to happier parts of the book and stop with the nit-picking. I’m just sayin’.

Now go see what he’s talking about, or you won’t know what I’m talking about.

Hello Chandler, AZ!

We’re neighbors! I live in Mesa, though I’m currently blogging from OMB’s in Glendale. I wonder if we know each other.

FMCG: Chapter 10

Feminist Male College Graduate, Benjamin Wheeler, is as completed Chapter 10: Interrogations.  This was a fun one for many Twilight fans. It held scenes which many of us missed in the movie, such as when Edward shows up at Bella’s in the morning to offer her a ride and a jacket, thus showing us that he’s not only thinking of her safety, but, we can guess, her comfort. Edward and Bella sort of come out of the closet that there might be something going on between them. Go see what Benjamin has to say and then come back for some discussion, if you will.

Auditions Page

I’ve started an Auditions page in hopes that when people search for info on how to audition for the movies based on Stephenie Meyer’s Eclipse and Breaking Dawn they easily find what they are looking for. Ever since I first posted the links to Acting411 my searches have looked something like this every day.
