Channing Tatum as Riley

Channing Tatum To Eclipse Twilight?

Channing Tatum To Eclipse Twilight?
Channing Tatum is being touted as bad-boy vampire Riley in Eclipse, the third in Stephenie Meyer’s four-book Twilight series.DO YOU THINK Channing would make a good vampire — YAY or NAY?

“There’s a very big battle at the end with Riley, and I think Channing would do that so well,” Twilight and New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who is currently writing the Eclipse script, tells E!’s Marc Malkin. “And there are some complexities to that character. He really is tragic. He’s a puppet for Victoria [bad-girl vampire played by Rachelle Lefevre]. So he has to break your heart a little bit at the end when he realizes that she doesn’t want him. Channing could do that beautifully.”

The 29-year-old actor has his new flick, Fighting, in theaters NOW.

I say YAY (OK so I picked him for Felix, but YAY someone else is thinking he’d make a good vampire)!

Closeted Unicorn?

I accused OMB of secretly reading Twilight last night. He of course admits nothing. Here’s what happened. You decide.

Last night we went to see Monsters vs Aliens (In 3-D! So fun!). When we got home the following exchange occurred.

OMB: Oh I forgot to tell you. When I went to get our Cokes the guy’s name tag said Jasper H.

Me: (staring dumbfounded, thinking, “Kudos to him for recognizing the name Jasper, but too bad it didn’t say Jasper C,” then, “Wait, H is perfect! Wait! How did he know that?!?) I don’t think that’s his real name.

OMB: I don’t think the theater would let them use ficticious names.

Me: (gathering my wits about me) You’re reading Twilight aren’t you!

OMB: No.

Me: Well then how…

OMB: …did I know that Jasper’s last name is Hale? They said it in the movie.

Me: They did? And you just happened to pick up the one time they may have mentioned it? I don’t think they mentioned it.

OMB: Well maybe I picked it up from one of the extras on the DVD.

Me: (questioning look) And you just picked it up from that?

OMB: I’m not reading Twilight.

I SQUEED my pants!

On the subject of the Academy Awards…

I watched the red carpet. I watched the whole show. And I commandeered OMB’s TV to do it. He was a good sport until Rob showed up and I involuntarily SQUEED my pants. He made a snarky comment about shaving for the Oscars. I replied that Rob did shave, which earned a very confused look from OMB. Then he said something about Rob over-acting! I was so stunned that I don’t remember how or why he said it. What was his problem? Being #2 next to a guy I’ll probably* never meet is practically like being #1. It can’t be jealousy, can it?

*I’m still waiting for an interview/audition for my application to be his Kept Woman.
