What Was I Thinking?

Robsten

Robsten

Why didn’t I get this when I saw it in the check-out line today? Oh well, at least I could read about it here. A little blurb for you.

But now that Rob, 23, has successfully wooed Kristen, 19, away from her boyfriend Michael Angarano, one insider wonders where their relationship will go. “For Rob, half the attraction with Kristen was the chase,” the insider reveals. “He pursued her so heavily — being a crazy romantic, proposing marriage and everything. Now that Rob’s with her, it’s just anticlimactic.”

The New Moon Trailer

I went to see The Proposal with OMB and a bunch of friends. I’m so glad the girls were with me! None of us knew the New Moon trailer was playing before the movie! Talk about involuntary SQUEE! All we needed to see was the water and the rocks. There was a collective gasp at shirtless Jacob the likes of which I haven’t heard since we first saw Cedric Diggory jump out of that tree in Goblet of Fire. The theater was packed, and just about everyone seemed excited. Even one of the guys with us said, “Whoa! What happened to him?” I kept reminding the girls, “He’s only 17. He’s only 17…” I mean clearly I didn’t need reminding, being firmly on Team Edward. Don’t worry. I let everyone know that if they didn’t calm down that Chris Hansen would be showing up. That being said, can I just say how hilarious I think it is that you hear Laurent say, “mouthwatering,” and then the next thing you see is shirtless Jacob. What a clever subliminal message. I’m just sayin’!

The preview looked even better on the big screen, especially the fur-sploding wolf. I do hope that Edward doesn’t stop at, “This is the last time you will ever see me,” and actually does say, “It will be as if I never existed,” like he’s supposed to.  But all in all New Moon looks like it may be good, definitely better than Twilight.

We were all ready to go after the preview, but were pleasantly surprised that for the price of $9.50 they were actually going to let us see a movie, too. The Proposal was a lot of fun. We expected it to be good, but it was a lot funnier than any of us expected. It’s one of those movies that when I’m flipping through the channels I know I will have to stop and watch.

Chemisty On Demand

Thanks mabelyeunice!

I missed the awards (sad face) so I appreciate the speedy posting of clips to the interwebs.

Now, why would you ever shoot these two separately when they can muster such chemistry on demand? BTW, I called Best Kiss during the midnight show. 🙂

The Trailer

Caroolee7 was the first one to come up on YouTube, so I grabbed this there.

It gives me hope.

New Moon Poster

spunkransomreveals

Reasons I hesitate to believe:

  • Has anyone else seen that picture of Robward before? It looks familiar to me.
  • It looks like a lot of the wonderful fanmades we’ve seen in recent months with the coloring and mistiness.

Reasons I want to believe:

  • Summit might have actually listened to the fans and taken a page out of the fanmade book. It gives me hope.
  • Instead of a crescent moon in the background, it looks like an eclipse. That’s something I haven’t seen in fanmades.
  • While the pose is weird, I like that Jacob is getting between Bella and Edward.
  • Edward is eclipsing Jacob, much like the moon is eclipsing the sun above them.

Captain’s…er…log 2: The Wrath of Canned Frosting

Dear Captain Cupcake,

While it seems I may be the first to refer to you as such (online anyway), it seems that this name has been given to others previously. Who could forget Hostess’s Captain Cupcake? Me obviously.

UrbanDictionary, of whom I’m normally a great fan, has this to say on the subject of ‘Captain Cupcake’:

One who is the master of being stepped on, used, and abused by others. This individual is so passive in behavioral manners that they both tolerate and welcome such actions taken by others.
1. That dude is such a captain cupcake, his daughter is always milking him for cash and people are using him for free labor.
Well, that is not Captain Kirk at all (except maybe if there are Romulans involved). Please know that I in no way, shape, or form meant to disparage you. Quite the contrary. My attempt to objectify you was meant in the nicest way possible. Captain Cupcake simply refers to the running “Cupcake” gag in Star Trek. Well, that and your aforementioned yumminess.
So, ‘Captain Cupcake’…we’re taking it back! I just wanted to clear that up before Twinkie the Kid hauled me off to the hooscow.
Did I mention that Robert Pattinson still hasn’t called…schedule free…and all that?
Call Me,

Captain’s…er…log

Dear Captain Cupcake (AKA Chris Pine),

Ever since I saw you in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement I knew you were something special. Just My Luck only confirmed your yumminess. I am happy to report that Bottle Shock was already in the NetFlix queue when I saw you in Star Trek (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday opening weekend). What a plus it turned out to be that you were in that movie. Star Trek, though, wow! You were great. Just enough Old Kirk, but not so much as to be parody. You made Kirk your own. Well done! Just, please, don’t put out any spoken word albums, ok?

Feel free to call anytime. Robert Pattinson hasn’t called yet, so my schedule is pretty clear.

Eclipse & Breaking Dawn Auditions: Final Post?

Maybe this will be my final post on Twilight Saga auditions. We shall see. I continue to get questions on how to go about auditioning. I would like to reiterate that I have nothing to do with the film industry other than being an avid movie fan, and have nothing to do with Twilight casting other than being a humble blogger of all things Twilight. As of this moment I have no ‘in’ with Stephenie Meyer, Summit Entertainment, Chris Weitz, David Slade, gaffers, best boys, kraft food service, or anyone else in the know. It would be nice to have some connection in the future though. 🙂

That being said, I’ve had so many questions that I have done some research. Allow me to impart upon you my wisdom.

Check the following links regularly:

1. Eclipse Auditions

2. Breaking Dawn Auditions

According to this press release Acting 411 is the place to go for casting and audition info. So, remember, it’s very important to keep checking those links above. Bookmark this page if you need to, to remember. Certainly you may link to this page directly on your blog.

If you look at other movies listed on Acting 411, you will see that some, such as Remember Me (starring Robert Pattinson) have a PRINCIPLE ACTOR CASTING area and a EXTRAS CASTING area. These are the areas you want to keep watching if you are interested in auditioning for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Today both areas say TBA for both movies. Before too long they will be filled in and you will know what to do.

BTW, careful readers noticed they are still casting the female lead for Remember Me. Go get him, girls! Don’t forget who sent you on the audition!

EDIT 17Jun09: This thread is closed. Please see my Auditions page.

Edward in New Moon

This :08 video just made me very happy. Months ago, I wrote (possibly on another blog, I’ll have to check) that a good solution to the No Edward=No Rob Dilemma in New Moon would be to have show us Bella’s delusion Edward. That might be exactly what we’re getting.
